Wholesaler Item # Changes
Do you know how to get your list of ITEM # Changes from the wholesaler? I will start posting them in the forum monthly and it is RECOMMENDED that you run this process prior to SSI doing your Monthly or Quarterly UPDATES!!
SP Richards for the month of March has "53" Item # changes looks like SAN #'s are changing again to add a alpha letter behind them like they did the SAN30001 to SAN30001B
You can go to DEALER SERVICES - Pricing and at the bottom in the drop down it will show MONTHLY UOM and MONTHLY ITEM # CHANGES.
Graphical - Pricing Link - To Do - Item # Change - you can upload a file that is in CSV Format that has the OLD # vs NEW # and then the system will do the item # change - which moves on hand qty , update contracts, history
You need to do this before the FILE PRICE UPDATE is done each month. I will load here monthly the price file updates for SP and Essendant so you can make the necessary changes.
What happens if you don't do this - it will cause duplicate items in the system. Also recommend that you use the Item Alias file in the To Do Section of Pricing Link - which will put in an alias number of the old # to the new number so you put in SANXXXXX it will bring up the new # based on the Alias File - this file also gets sent un to the website. If you would like us to update you Favorites Listing for your customers then please send us a file and we can update the favorites for you for your customers. Currently this is a billable charge @ 87.50 - eventually we will give you this capability to do for the website but not at this time.
Questions please advise. If you have the Monthly update done already then I am going to recommend you delete the new number that was added and then do the Item # change. This would be done base on whom your first call Wholesaler is - so if SP is your first call I would recommend you delete and then run you vendor price file again so that the new items get loaded and it converts the old item to the new item - Please let us know if you have questions. You can email support@ssiop.com for further help.
Please note you will need to make changes to the spreadsheet - delete the headers for the Item # Change Tab - to just have 2 column - old # vs new # and save that file only as a CSV Tab Delimited - you will need to have it created as it's own separate page.
Again - Questions please advise - we will be going over this in our upcoming training call on 3/20/25 @ Noon CST

I just realized that I can't add the file to the FORUM like I thought I could. I will set up to mass email this to management within your company and then you can distribute this to whom it needs to go to with in your company. Again questions please advise. I will send you the file for SP for month of March as well as Essendant. Thanks
